The client wanted to put on fundraising event that was bigger than anything they had ever done before. It was an art show and auction with a goal of raising $30,000. In order to raise this kind of money, they needed someone to brand and market the event, encouraging as many people as possible to attend.
The school’s mission is to promote diversity and live life in radical amazement -“…look at the world in a way that takes nothing for granted…” I came up with butterflies for the theme since not one butterfly is exactly the same and there is never a time you see a butterfly and don’t look at them in wonder and amazement. Once the theme was set, I designed a logo that would set the stage for the entire event.
After coming up with a style guide to brand the event, I designed and implemented an intense cross-channel marketing campaign that included a variety of emails, a landing page, posters, an oversized banner and various guerrilla marketing efforts that carried through the event itself.
The branding and marketing efforts were just some of the many things that went into making this event an absolute success in reaching their fundraising goal.
